Is Jesse Eisenberg the "new" Michael Cera?

We were watching a pleasant little film called "Adventureland" the other day and got halfway through it before realizing the main character was in fact NOT being played by (former)teen heartthrob Michael Cera, but by his doppelganger Jesse Eisenberg. We're sure we're not alone in making this mistake, it's an easy one to make. After all, both actors have made a name for themselves playing lovable, awkward "nice guys" with an affinity for hoodies and mellow acoustic tunes. But it seems to us that Jesse may very well surpass Cera as the king of endearing hapless "dorks". It's no secret since "Superbad" hit theaters two years ago a slow yet steady Mikey Cera backlash has been brewing on message boards and blogs all over the Internet. People finally seem to be sick of this "ferret faced little asshole" and are more than willing to crown Eisenberg his worthy successor. Because we are professional bloggers, we have put together a few solid facts to argue the case for Mr. Eisenberg usurping Michael Cera's spotlight/fan base.

-He's appeared in not one but TWO 1980's period pieces. Mike Cera? None.

- He's never co-starred along side Jack Black.

-He's not Canadian.

-His face is slightly less asshole-ish.

-He probably flosses daily.

-He probably got better grades in school.

-He looks like he'd be cooler to hang out with.

-We bet he has similar interests as us and we'd really hit it off.

-He probably wouldn't hesitate to hook us up with one of his female friends who is more "cute" than she is "hot" but is a firecracker in the sack and open to "anything".

-Jesse is a less generic/typical name than Michael.

Don't you just love when a once universally loved actor becomes "shat upon" for no other reason than being universally loved in the first place? Remember when people actually liked Tom Cruise and he wasn't just a punchline/crazy guy whose wacky religion was scoffed at because Christianity and Islam were here first to establish their equally crazy religions, therefore making them "legit"? Anywho, here's the trailer to "Zombieland."
